Jill Smith Biography

I am a New Zealander of European and Maori (Tainui) descent living in the southwest of Auckland, New Zealand. I have been married to Don for more than 50 years, and we have four adult children, all with families of their own, our 12 much loved grandchildren. I am an ordained minister with the ACTS Churches N.Z. (B.Th.), a member of the N.Z. Council of Prophets, a counsellor (M. Couns., M.A.Arts Therapy), teacher (B.Ed), and artist.

I love to encourage and equip people to live in increasing wholeness, freedom and purpose, knowing who they are, and how to live out the good plans God has for them. Christian discipleship is wholistic. It includes equipping with knowledge and skills to navigate life and purpose, accessing healing for our wounds, resolution for our conflicts, and resourcing for our needs. All of this is available as we learn to access and steward all that God has made available in Christ.

To me, the inner life is the well from which the outer life is sustained, and the foundation from which any endeavour arises. Because of this, I am both a preacher and a counsellor, a prophet and a teacher, a vision caster and a coach, a wordsmith and a painter of pictures.

I am prophetic at heart, and the revelation flow of Scripture, as well as the moment-by-moment inspiration of Holy Spirit sustains and motivates me. I am convinced that God’s love is the unifying force running through all creation, weaving everything together, and making all things new.

As the Bible proclaims, we live and move and have our being in God, he is closer and more loving towards us than we currently know.

As I work with people, my prayer is that they will be strengthened and encouraged by God’s amazing love, grace, revelation and power, and be equipped with knowledge, understanding, and skill to be and do all, that God has imagined in love.
